I was perusing the internet for something, I can't really remember what, might have been a baby dinosaur egg or a pair of wellington boots, but whatever it was, it lead me by accident to Toluna - a place where apparently you can make polls and voice opinions about pretty much anything under the sun (and that's a lot of "stuff").
Anyhow, this one very open minded, loving, caring, sharing individual whom I shall refer to as
nicolemechele, what with that being her name and everything, decided to make a rather informed observation on big women and high heel shoes, which I must say, offended me to the point that I felt the need to reply - even going as far as bothering to sign up to their mind numbing site.
Here is her "opinion":
by nicolemeche...
Why do big women feel they can wear high heels?
I watch a lady as I was on my way to work with a pair of 3 inch heels on. She weighed close to 300lbs. As I walked behind her I noticed the heels on her shoes go to the side as she took each step. I wanted to see just how far she would get before one if not both heels broke. She didn't even make it a block before her left heel snapped off. Dont they know it's a weight capacity for wearing heels?
To which I replied:
Of course big women shouldn't wear high heels! Surely thin people shouldn't have to see big fat women wobbling down the street and impede on their pretty vision of a scenic morning with their skinny latte and bag of seeds breakfast.
Of course only skinny minnies should be allowed to wear heels to make their stick thin legs look longer and more twig like as big women watch from afar as the skinny minnies whole legs bend to each side as she hobbles along on her pretty little high heel shoes seconds away from one of her limbs snapping as she hooks her boney little feet in a floor crack she obviously wasn't going to see over her rather large ego.
Big women should obviously hide from the world and pretty shoes, why should they want to feel as pretty as anybody else?! Couldn't possibly be that this woman you saw in the street happened upon a really badly made pair of heels, no, must have been her weight - or possibly your Jedi powers that broke that poor woman's shoe.
Must remind myself not to wear nice shoes in future incase skinny narrow minded women are offended by my size 11 foot in their ass.
You can read the article from the page, here, if you like: http://us.toluna.com/opinions/8218/Why-women-feel-they-wear-high-heels.htm
What the hell is wrong with people? Big women should be wearing high heels, skinny women should be locked in a closet and force fed beans.

Dear Waistline...
Dear waistline,
So very nice to see you again! For how long do you intend to visit with us this time?
I am glad you've decided not to stay away for good - I miss you when you're away!
Waistline, tell me; you didn't happen to see a nice holiday spot for the old lady Mrs. Hips and her twins belly and butt while you were away, did you? I feel they have long overstayed their welcome and could do well given the opportunity for a change of scenery.
Still. I guess they pay their way, so they can stay for now...but their days, I feel, are numbered.
Must dash, my dear friend. I have a pot of tea brewing and a slice of cake waiting for me on the veranda. Do feel free to join us...
Please make yourself at home, and stay as long as you like.
You're so very welcome here,
Sincerely,
B.
